A movie analysis show looking at your favorite cult and genre films from across cinema history. Each week, Dustin, Arthur, and Dalton try to apply academic rigor and critical analysis to the films you wouldn’t talk about in a film studies class while having a few laughs along the way. It’s the conversations you have in the lobby of the multiplex with a little more room to breathe, and the occasional footnote. Stay tuned to the feed for bonus episodes on new releases.

Welcome back dear listeners! We are your new cure for everything you need. We are now "They". You can thank Patreon Supporter Daniel Austin for choosing Spike Jonze's 2013 sci-fi drama, Her. Because of his continued financial support of GoodTrash Media, Daniel was able to select a movie for us to do on the network. So, the GoodTrash GenreCast took up the challenge and brought Her to the table for a deeper look.
This Patreon-sponsored episode is full of laughs, and we have a lot of fun with the game this week. We take turns pitching high-concept films about personal accessories. This leads to many silly ideas and discussions. We then dive into business with a good old fashioned round table discussion. The gang sits around to talk about personhood and A.I., the human void, love as a consumer product, and much, much more. We were very grateful to get a chance to talk about Her. Typically it wouldn't fall under our mission statement, but once and a while (and thanks to built-in cheats) we get a chance to look at the "person who wouldn't go to prom with us" as Dustin used to say. So, thank you dearly Daniel Austin. If you want more information on how you can force us to talk about your favorite movies just head over to Patreon.com/GTM and see all of our cool exclusive options for Patreon contributors.
Alright Dear Listener, there you have it. Daniel Austin has presented a great movie which fostered some great, genuine discussions about humanity, life and love. So, go ahead and download, and tell us... What is your relationship like with your mother?
