GTGC - #124 - The Devil’s Rejects

May 30th, 2015

Alrighty Dear Listener, the Good Trash Gang is back and wrapping up Sequel-Palooza. This week we take a fan request; Google+ User - The Rolling Beatles 123 suggested we should do The Devil's Rejects some time. Well, ask and you shall receive Rolling Beatles 123. This week we take a look at Zombie's sophomore effort and take it to task for a number of reasons. So, come on and find out what we think. Tell us what you think. Also, join in our our discussion about whether Zombie is a better Musician or Director. Let us know your favorite musicians who have been involved with film; and finally, as always, let us know what has you fired up in pop culture.

The Rabbit Hole

Dear Listener, this week Alex referenced an article that she thought would be  interesting in light of her reading of the film. You can find that article right here: "The Cruel and Unusual Execution of Clayton Lockett".
And remember, follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, subscribe to the show through a number of means; and always enjoy the conversations about film.

GTGC #123 Hook

May 22nd, 2015

Bangarang dear listeners! We bring our analysis to Neverland and find some happy thoughts.

GTGC - #122 - Blade II

May 15th, 2015

Alright dear listeners, we are back with more Sequelpalooza fun. This week we tackle Guillermo Del Toro's Blade II. We discuss race, fight scenes, and vampire lore - all the while missing our friend Alex. We discussed our favorite mentors and then, we talked about pop culture. We laughed, we cried, well... mainly we just laughed a lot. There is much fun to be had; so, come on over, listen to the show, but whatever you do...

Don't invite Dalton in. Ever. And never go with anything he proposes.... Stay tuned to find out why.

GTGC - #121 - The World’s End

May 7th, 2015

Hello again Dear Listener! We're back, and we somehow managed to make it through a full trilogy on the show. That's right, we hit Sequel-palooza with the third entry in Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy as we discuss The World's End. Formalism, nostalgism, and alcoholism all rear their ugly heads as we look at this fine British comedy. The Game has us doing our best Ad Rep impressions, as we discuss Movie Themed Alcoholic Beverages. And Dalton is the only one who is truly fired up this week. Except Alex, who does her finest Christian Bale impression to end the show - what did she say that was so shocking? I guess you'll have to listen for yourself.

GTGC # 120 - Army of Darkness

May 1st, 2015

Good evening and happy May everyone, the cast gets back around the table with a couple of regulars missing and a guest host filling their shoes. That's right, Kirsten returns to talk Bruce Campbell and Army of Darkness. We talk intertextuality, formalism, duality of man, and religion. We inadvertently play a sequel to one of our games as we discuss in a broader sense, movies that should be turned into TV series. Finally, we end as always with what has us fired up in Pop Culture. All of this and more as we kick off our May Sequel-palooza! So, gather round and enjoy the trash.

GTGC - #119 - Daredevil (2003 - Director’s Cut)

May 1st, 2015

*Editor's note, again sorry for another delay. We're trying to get back on target. This was originally recorded on April 19th.*

Alrighty dear listeners! The gang gather's back around and Arthur chooses to see if we are indeed a podcast without fear as we take a look at the polarizing 2003 Director's Cut of Daredevil. Ben Affleck makes his initial foray into super cinema and nobody was pleased. We talk about most useless super powers in our game of the week, and at the end of the show, of course we're fired up.

And as with any good Marvel film, stay through the credits this week for more GoodTrash Fun.
