A movie analysis show looking at your favorite cult and genre films from across cinema history. Each week, Dustin, Arthur, and Dalton try to apply academic rigor and critical analysis to the films you wouldn’t talk about in a film studies class while having a few laughs along the way. It’s the conversations you have in the lobby of the multiplex with a little more room to breathe, and the occasional footnote. Stay tuned to the feed for bonus episodes on new releases.

Women Talking Review: 00:1:27
White Noise Review: 00:21:37
First up, we're talking Sarah Polley's Women Talking, adapted from a novel of the same name. Featuring an ensemble including, Claire Foy, Rooney Mara, Jessie Buckley, and Ben Whishaw, Women Talking takes a look at a group of women in a small religious community as they attempt to reckon with traumatic events that have been taking place. Women Talking opens in limited release on Dec. 23, and goes wide in January.
After that, we take a look at White Noise. The new film from Noah Baumbach for Netflix. Set in the 80s amidst an airborne event, White Noise focuses on a family helmed by Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. The two try to navigate familial and personal anxieties as the world around them erupts into chaos. White Noise hits Netflix on Dec. 30 with a few limited theatrical showings.
Tune in now to hear our thoughts on both of these films and whether we recommend you see them. Thanks for listening!
