It's time for our annual Antitrash Celebration! With prestige season in full effect, we look at the movies that probably will be discussed in a film studies course—and this month, we're going sci-fi with our picks. And we're kicking it off with one of the most influential films of all time, Fritz Lang's Metropolis from 1927. This bold work has inspired generations of artists, but how has it held up to time? We discuss this, and its impact. We also talk about the theology of Metropolis, its different commentaries on society and labor, and much more as we ring in 2022.
