A movie analysis show looking at your favorite cult and genre films from across cinema history. Each week, Dustin, Arthur, and Dalton try to apply academic rigor and critical analysis to the films you wouldn’t talk about in a film studies class while having a few laughs along the way. It’s the conversations you have in the lobby of the multiplex with a little more room to breathe, and the occasional footnote. Stay tuned to the feed for bonus episodes on new releases.

Its the final reprise as Song of Praise comes to an end on episode 360. We're jumping ahead to 2017, to see a more mature and nuanced Song Kang-ho leading in A Taxi Driver. Inspired by true events, Song stars as Mr. Kim, a Seoul taxi driver who is looking for a lucrative fare. It comes in the form of a German journalist who hopes to sneak in to Gwangju and cover the protests in the area. Their two ideologies clash as Mr. Kim has to face his government and country from a new perspective. This week, we're talking historical pictures, Oscar bait, the politics of Gwangju, and much, much more as we wrap up our look at one of Korea's best, Song Kang-ho in A Taxi Driver.
