A movie analysis show looking at your favorite cult and genre films from across cinema history. Each week, Dustin, Arthur, and Dalton try to apply academic rigor and critical analysis to the films you wouldn’t talk about in a film studies class while having a few laughs along the way. It’s the conversations you have in the lobby of the multiplex with a little more room to breathe, and the occasional footnote. Stay tuned to the feed for bonus episodes on new releases.

On episode 355 of the GenreCast, we're crossing the country with style and flare. The movie? To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. The title is a mouthful and the movie is a lot, but we have a good time doing our best opening this one up for analysis. We start unofficially getting into the layers in our review section, which then carries over into our Syllabus Expansion and finally business time. We've also got notes from our beloved Alexandra Bohannon who was going to be on this week, until her schedule got shaken up at the last minute. But, prepare us she did. This week, Dalton coins the term "Rainbow Face" to allude to a cisgender and/or heterosexual performer playing outside their identified spectrum. We also get into questions of race, as well as economics. Dustin also spends time analyzing Sheriff Dollard as well. As three cis white men, we know it's not completely in our realm, but we do our best to analyze and discuss To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Enjoy!
